SYSTEMA
TRAINING

A Warrior is defined by what he can endure, not by what he can inflict.

Every attacker brings with him the keys to his defeat. In Systema, one learns not to oppose another's movements, by weaving and flowing with the attack, the Systema practitioner becomes in perfect synchronisation with the attacker and thereby gain mastery over him. There are no belts, no rituals, no set kata's or rigid techniques. Thus, the student gains confidence by understanding that he can apply his knowledge to any situation and variables.

Fear creates unnatural movements. Systema aims to eliminate fear through building faith and confidence in the self, which allows the practitioner to become free (in mind and movement). The conscious mind is unable to handle the chaos of extreme stress, so this faith-based approach is essential to garner success.

The objective of this type of training goes far further than simply combat training. It is a holistic approach which seeks to make the practitioner a better individual (physically, emotionally and spiritually). Systema does not advocate the destruction of others, unless this is absolutely called for.

Systema has no limitations, but moral ones.
